Bedrooms & living spaces
The rooms people put off because they are not urgent. They are also the quickest to transform and, room for room, the cheapest thing on this list.
Storage built for the room you actually have
Nearly every older bedroom around here has a chimney breast with two useless alcoves either side. Fitted joinery turns those into wardrobes, drawers or shelving that fits to the millimetre, which no freestanding furniture will ever do. It is usually the difference between a bedroom that feels cramped and one that feels finished.
Home offices that work all day
A desk in a spare room is not a home office. Proper power where you need it, hardwired network if the Wi-Fi is poor, lighting that does not glare on a screen, and enough acoustic separation that a call is possible while the house is busy. Usually a one to two week job.
The cheapest room to transform
If you are renovating in stages and want something to feel different quickly, this is where the money goes furthest. A replaster, a lighting rework, new flooring and fitted storage will change a room more than most people expect for the outlay.
Questions we get asked
Do you make the fitted furniture yourselves?
Yes — built and finished on site so it fits the actual room, walls out of square and all, rather than a flat-pack carcass packed out with filler.
Can you do one room at a time?
Absolutely, and a lot of clients work through the house that way. We will keep a note of what is planned next so each room is done in the right order.
