What we do with your details

Skipton Renovations is the data controller for anything you send through this website. This page is written to be read rather than to cover us, so it is short.

What we collect

If you fill in the enquiry form we store your name, email address, phone number if you gave one, and everything you typed about your project. That is it.

We also count page views so we know which parts of the site are useful. That count records the page address, which site you arrived from, whether you were on a phone or a computer, and a random id held only for the length of your visit. It does not use cookies and it does not record your IP address, so it cannot identify you.

What we use it for

• Replying to your enquiry and quoting for your work
• Keeping a record of jobs we have quoted and completed
• Understanding which pages people find useful

We do not sell your details, share them with anyone for marketing, or add you to a mailing list. If you enquire and do not go ahead, we will not chase you with newsletters.

Who else can see it

Enquiries are stored with Supabase, our database provider, and the site is hosted on Vercel. Both process data on our instructions only. If your work goes ahead we will share what a trade needs to do their part of the job, and nothing more.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted after two years. Records of completed jobs are kept for six years, which is how long we may need them for warranty, insurance and tax purposes.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@skiptonrenovations.co.uk and we will deal with it within a month. If you are not happy with how we handle it you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

This site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. The only cookies in play are the ones that keep the owners signed in to their own admin area, which are never set on a visitor’s browser.
